Speech and Feeding Difficulties

If your child has trouble controlling lips, tongue or jaw muscles — from talking to eating or sipping from a straw —, these are tough skills to master and I can help your child develop these skills. Your little one has a lisp or a ‘funny r-sound’? With a little time and practice we can make  it better!

Developmental Delay

Is your child late in talking and struggling to communicate or making friends? Maybe he or she is not able to tell you their needs without a tantrum and tears? Perhaps your little one doesn’t speak at all or he / she repeats words or sentences you say? I am able to clarify for you what the issues are, what might be causing them and how to help you help your child.

Individual therapy either with your child direct or via telepractice

Drawing on my extensive experience I will use a variety of approaches to problem solve and offer solutions to any issues related to your child’s communication or feeding difficulties.

Assessment, reports, advice and consultancy

I offer structured and bespoke assessments, practical and personal support and advice, training and consultancy in response to your and your child’s needs.

I specialise in assessment reports and particularly EHCP reports. These are comprehensive assessment reports with a specific focus and style recognised by the Education Authorities to help clarify what is the most suitable school for your child and what sort of additional, funded help is required so that your child will thrive and enjoy their time in school.

Parent-child Interaction (PCI) Coaching

This is often the first intervention I highly recommend as it empowers parents to create a communication-enhancing home environment. Research tells us that Parents are the most important “therapists” in their children’s lives and this type of intervention is by far the most important and very effective.
